God protects you

Praise the LORD, for this is the day that He has made and we shall be glad and rejoice in it.

Psalm 121:5 NIrV

"The LORD watches over you. The LORD is like a shade tree at your right hand."

Amen, thank you LORD.

Yesterday, we looked at how much God loves you. Today, we seeing another way that God shows His love which is by protecting you.

What is protection? - I want you to think for a moment, imagine you had to go to a new place that you have never been to, maybe a new school? You may feel a bit uneasy at first because its a new school and you do not know anyone there. But imagine you went to a new school but this time, you have a sister or brother or best friend and you get to go to this new school with them. That would not feel as scary, right? Or let's say its your first time in elementary school and Mom or Dad's presence at least for the first day of school helps you to relax in this new environment.

Today, God is saying to you that He is your safe place and He is with you everywhere you go. God is with you when you go to school to write your exams. He is with you when you go to new places and make new friends. God is also with you when you go to bed and when you wake up. God is with you when you go to church or have play dates with your friends. God is with you everywhere you go.

God watches every step you make even something as simple as eating your food. God sends His angels to watch over you to make sure that you are safe like a tree shade at your right hand that covers you.

So let us say a simple prayer: Father God, thank you that you love me. Thank you Father that You watch over me when I go to bed and when I wake up and go about my day. Thank you God that Your presence is with me everywhere I go and I can relax knowing that I am safe in Your hands in the name of Jesus, amen.
