Today's lead Word is from Matthew 5:14-15 (NIrV)
"You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill can't be hidden.
Also, people do not light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand. Then it gives light to everyone in the house."
Amen, thank you LORD.
Child of God, do you know that God loves you? Do you know that Jesus loves you? Today's devotional reminds us that you are very important in God's eyes. When God made you, He took His time and made you beautiful and handsome. When God looks at you, He is pleased with you because He loves you.
When you think about a light, what comes to your mind? For example: during the day, light helps us to see clearly. At night, when I enter into a dark room and I need to find something, when I switch on the light, it helps me find what I am looking for.
Last week, we saw how God's Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light to our path. As we read our Bibles, the light of God's Word helps us to see clearly who God is and who He has created us to be. As we spend time reading our Bibles, we become a light shinning for Jesus in our schools, our friends and in the world.
You are very important in God's eyes and when God created you, He also made good plans for your life. Today Jesus, our Friend and Saviour says, you are the light of the world.
Repeat these words: God loves me and I am the light of the world in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.
