You are safe with God

Today's Word is from Psalm 91:1-2 (NIrV)

  1. "Whoever rests in the shadow of the Most High God will be kept safe by the Mighty One.

  2. I will say about the LORD, "He is my place of safety. He is like a fort to me. He is my God. I trust in Him."

Amen, thank you LORD.

Today's devotional is about God's safety. God loves you and He wants to make sure that you enjoy your life without any worries because He is always watching over you.

The above Scripture in Psalm 91 reminds us that we are kept safe by the Mighty One. The Mighty One here is God. God is mentioned here as Mighty so that you can know there is nobody or anything that is as great and powerful as God. God wants you to know and always remember that He has all the power to defeat anything that would make you afraid. This is why you can trust God to be your place of safety.

It is like staying at home with your parents. When you know Mom or Dad are in the house, you do not have to be afraid because you know where to find them. God is like that as well. His presence is around you all time unlike Mom and Dad who may not be able around you all the time. But God is with you all the time, covering you and protecting you from every danger. So when you go to bed at night, you sleep well because you know and trust that you are in the shadow of the Most High God.

Key point: God is with you everywhere you are and everywhere you go. Nothing is greater and stronger than God's power. Because you trust in the LORD, He keeps you safe in His arms and under the shadow of His protection.

Prayer: Father, thank you that I am safe with you. I do not have to be afraid because You are my God and You surround me like a fort. Thank you LORD that whenever I go to bed, You always give me sweet sleep in the name of Jesus. Even when I wake up, thank you for Your presence goes with me everywhere I go so I can enjoy my life. Thank you LORD for I am kept under the shadow of the Most High God where no power of the enemy can touch me all the days of my life in the name of Jesus, Amen.
